Rename your Canvas LTI integration from Quizizz to Wayground

If your Canvas LTI integration was set up before Quizizz was rebranded to Wayground, the "External tool" in Canvas would still appear as ‘Quizizz’ to your teachers. This article helps you rename the existing LTI tool in place.

Do not delete the existing Quizizz LTI key. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone, and it breaks grade sync for all the past assessments assigned through that key.

Follow the below instructions to safely rename the integration.

1. Log in to Canvas as an administrator.
2. Go to Admin tab in the left navigation menu and select your account name.
3. In the same menu, go to ‘Developer Keys’.
4. If the TargetLinkURL field shows https://quizizz.com/lms/canvas/callback, it means your organization is still on the unsupported Canvas API integration with Wayground. Before continuing further, you will first need to set up LTI based Canvas integration : Set up Wayground-Canvas integration as an Admin.
5. The TargetLinkURL field should be https://quizizz.com/lti/canvas/callback, confirming it's an LTI integration.
6. Find the entry named Quizizz, and click edit (pencil) in the Actions column. This opens up the Key Settings.
7. Replace "Quizizz" with "Wayground" in the Title and Description
8. Scroll down and expand Link Selection and Assignment Selection. Replace "Quizizz" with "Wayground" in both the Text fields.
9. Click Save at the bottom right. A ‘Save successful’ confirmation should show up.

It can take up to 4 hours for the new name to reflect for teachers.
