Create Assessments and Flashcards in seconds, right inside Claude. Just describe what you need in your own words. Claude builds the resource, and it saves to your Wayground library automatically, ready to assign.

Before you start

You’ll need:

1. A Wayground account (free or paid)

2. A Claude account (free or paid)

3. Chrome, Edge, Safari, or Firefox, or the Claude desktop or mobile app

Connect Wayground to Claude

You only need to do this once.

1. Open Claude at claude.ai or in the Claude app.

2. In the chat box, click the + button (or type /) and choose Connectors > Browse connectors.

3. Search for Wayground and click Connect.

4. Sign in to Wayground in the new tab and approve the connection.

5. The tab closes on its own. Wayground shows as Connected.

Create an Assessment or Flashcards

The steps are the same for both.

1. Start or open a chat in Claude.

2. Describe what you want. Include the topic, grade level, and how many questions or cards.

3. Claude generates the resource and shows it as a Wayground resource card in the chat.

4. The resource saves to your Wayground library automatically. Click the card to open it in Wayground.

Example prompts

Copy any of these into Claude to try it out:

• “Create a 10-question Multiple Choice Assessment on fractions for 5th grade, medium difficulty.”

• “Make eight questions on the water cycle for 4th grade. Cover evaporation, condensation, and precipitation.”

• “Make 15 Flashcards on the water cycle for 3rd grade.”

• “Create 20 vocabulary Flashcards on Greek and Latin roots for a 6th grade ELA unit.”

Tips for better results

The more detail you give Claude, the better the result. Try to include:

• Grade level: “for 4th grade” or “for my 7th grade class”

• Subject and topic: “on photosynthesis” or “on multiplication facts”

• Number of questions or cards: “10 questions” or “15 Flashcards”

• Difficulty: “easy,” “medium,” or “challenging”

• Standards: “Align to CCSS Math 5.NF.B.6” or “Cover TEKS 111.40.c.3.F”

• Class context: “My students just finished fractions and are ready for mixed numbers”

Edit a resource

You can ask Claude to change anything in a resource it created, for example, “Change question 3 to be about improper fractions.”

Every edit creates a new resource with a new link. The original stays in your Wayground library untouched. If you edit an Assessment five times, you end up with five versions. To keep your library tidy, make all your changes in Claude first, use the final link, and delete the earlier drafts from Wayground.

Find your resources in Wayground

You have two ways to open a resource:

• From Claude, click the card in your chat

• From Wayground, log in at wayground.com and open your Library

In Wayground, you can assign resources to students, share them with other teachers, add more question types, and view student reports.

Frequently asked questions

Is the Wayground connector free?

Yes. It’s free, and it works with free or paid accounts on both Wayground and Claude.

Which Claude plan do I need?

Any plan, including the free one. Free Claude accounts allow one custom connector at a time.

Does this work on my phone or tablet?

Yes. Use the Claude mobile app, or open claude.ai in your phone’s browser.

How do I disconnect Wayground?

In Claude, go to Settings > Connectors, find Wayground, and click Disconnect.

Troubleshooting

• I can’t find the Wayground connector: search for “Wayground,” not “Quizizz.” If it still doesn’t show, refresh the page or try a different browser

• The sign-in window didn’t open: your browser is likely blocking pop-ups. Allow pop-ups for claude.ai and try again

• My resource didn’t save to Wayground: make sure you’re signed in to the correct Wayground account, then refresh your library. If it still doesn’t show, disconnect and reconnect Wayground in Claude

• Claude isn’t generating a resource: add more detail to your prompt (topic, grade level, number of questions). Also check that Wayground shows as Connected in your settings

What happens behind the scenes

When you send a prompt, Claude reads it and calls Wayground’s resource-creation tools. Wayground builds the Assessment or Flashcards, saves them to your account, and sends them back to Claude, which shows them as an interactive card in your chat. All of this happens in a few seconds.
