Wayground AI is a question generator that helps you create and enhance your Assessments quickly and easily.
By taking care of repetitive tasks, it lets you focus on what matters most — supporting every one of your students.
With this tool, you can create Assessments in minutes from multiple content sources.
Simply upload a file, enter a prompt, or paste a link to a webpage, and Wayground AI will generate questions from the content to build your Assessment/Quiz. You can then edit and enhance it as desired.
How it works
Wayground AI can generate Assessments/Quizzes in six different ways:
From a document: Upload study materials such as PDFs, PPTX, DOC, DOCX, PNG, or JPG files. Wayground AI will extract questions from the content.
From a prompt: Type or paste any content or prompt, and Wayground AI will generate relevant questions.
From a website: Paste the link to a webpage, and Wayground AI will process its contents to create an Assessment.
From a curriculum: For math and science teachers in the USA, simply select your desired curriculum to generate aligned Assessments.
From a YouTube video: Search for or paste a YouTube link to generate questions related to the video.
Upload an image: Use the Wayground mobile app to click and upload pictures of worksheets or documents to instantly generate questions.
Once generated, you can fully edit your Assessment — change question types, modify answer options, and add images, videos, or audio.
You can also use Wayground AI Enhance to customize your Assessments for accessibility, engagement, and inclusivity.

Generate questions from a document
Click Create → Assessment or Quiz.
Select Generate with AI → Document.
Upload your file using Upload from Device or Import from Drive, or drag and drop it into the window.
Choose your preferences: number of questions, subject, grade, and language.
To turn it into a Passage/Comprehension question, enable “Allow students to read this document while answering.”
Click Generate Quiz.
Review and edit the generated questions — update text, question type, or media as needed.
When ready, click Publish to save and assign your Assessment.
Generate questions from a prompt
Click Create → Assessment or Quiz.
Select Generate with AI → Text/Prompt.
Enter a prompt or paste text content.
Set preferences such as language, number of questions, grade, subject, standards, and depth of knowledge.
Click Continue, choose a subtopic, then click Generate quiz.
Edit the questions:
Chat with AI to refine results, or
Click Use this quiz to make manual edits yourself.
Once complete, click Publish to save and assign the quiz.
Generate questions from a website
Click Create → Assessment or Quiz.
Select Generate with AI → Website.
Paste the URL of a webpage (ensure it’s publicly accessible and not behind a login).
Set your preferences: number of questions, grade, subject, and language.
Click Generate quiz, then review and edit the generated questions.
Click Publish to save and assign the Assessment.

Generate questions from a YouTube video
Click Create → Assessment or Quiz.
Select Generate with AI → YouTube.
Paste a YouTube link or use Browse YouTube to find one.
Ensure the video is public and not behind a login.
Set your preferences: number of questions, grade, subject, and language.
Trim the video if needed.
To make it an Interactive Video, toggle on “Make this an interactive video quiz.”
Click Generate quiz, then review and edit questions as needed.
Click Publish to save and assign your quiz.
Generate curriculum-aligned Assessments
If you’re a math or science teacher in the USA, you can create curriculum-aligned Assessments in minutes.
Click Create → Assessment or Quiz.
Select Generate with AI → Curriculum.
Choose Math or Science to view available curricula.
Select your desired curriculum and topics.
Set your preferences such as number of questions and output language.
Click Generate quiz.
Chat with AI to refine questions or make manual edits.
Click Publish to save and assign your Assessment.
Upload images using the Wayground mobile app
Open the Wayground app on your phone and go to Explore.
Choose Click a picture of worksheet.
Take pictures of your content.
Click Add more to upload additional images.
Click Retake to replace any picture.
Click Done, then Create Quiz.
Edit your questions and click Save Quiz to finalize.
Notes
File uploads
Only one file can be uploaded at a time.
Supported formats: PDF, PPT, PPTX, DOC, DOCX, JPG, PNG.
Files with fewer tables or images process more accurately.
Only the first 16,000 characters are processed.
Text input
You can type or paste up to 10,000 characters.
Accuracy
Wayground AI is continuously improving, but may occasionally generate inaccuracies.
