Sign up for Wayground with Google, email, Facebook, Microsoft, Apple, or single sign-on (SSO). The steps before and after sign-in are the same for every method.
Note: Wayground was previously known as Quizizz. Some sign-in screens still show Wayground (formerly Quizizz). This is expected.
Open the sign-up page
Go to www.wayground.com.
In the top-right corner, click Sign up.
The Welcome to Wayground page opens with all the sign-up options. Pick your sign-in method below and follow that section.
Sign up with Google
Use this if you have a Google or Gmail account.
On the Welcome to Wayground page, click Continue with Google.
On the Sign in with Google screen, click the account you want to use. If your account isn't listed, click Use another account and sign in.
If Google asks you to verify it's you, complete the prompt. This may be a password, a passkey, or a two-step verification code, depending on your account settings.
Note: If you're already signed in to Google in this browser, this step is skipped.
On the Sign in to Wayground (formerly Quizizz) screen, review what Google will share with Wayground (your name, profile picture, and email address), then click Continue.
Continue to Tell Wayground about you.
Sign up with email
Use this if you want to sign up with an email address and password.
On the Welcome to Wayground page, click Continue with Email.
On the Continue with your email screen, enter your email in the Enter email address field, then click Continue.
A Create a Password field appears. Enter a password of at least 6 characters, then click Continue.
Tip: Click the eye icon in the password field to show or hide what you typed. To change your email, click Edit next to it.
On the Enter your details screen, fill in:
Your first name and last name.
Optionally, a title: Mr., Ms., Dr., Mrs., or Mx.
Click Continue.
Continue to Tell Wayground about you.
Sign up with Facebook, Microsoft, or Apple
Use this if you have a Facebook, Microsoft, or Apple account.
On the Welcome to Wayground page, click the option for your provider:
Continue with Facebook in the main list of sign-up buttons.
Microsoft or Apple in the or continue with row.
Sign in on the provider's page, and approve any request to share your profile with Wayground.
You'll be returned to Wayground when sign-in completes.
Continue to Tell Wayground about you.
Sign up with single sign-on (SSO)
Use this if your school, district, or organization uses SSO for Wayground. You'll need the email address your organization uses for sign-in.
On the Welcome to Wayground page, in the or continue with row, click Others.
On the Continue with SSO screen, enter your organization email in the Enter email address field, then click Continue.
Sign in on your organization's sign-in page.
You'll be returned to Wayground when sign-in completes.

Tell Wayground about you
The next three screens are the same for every sign-up method.
On the How will you use Wayground? screen, choose the option that fits:
K-12 School: teachers, administrators, and students.
Business / Corporate: companies, nonprofits, and professional teams.
College / University: professors, administrators, and students.
Homeschool & Private tutor: guardians, tutors, and students.
Others: anything else.
On the What describes you best? screen, choose your role. The options depend on what you picked in the previous step. For K-12 School, you'll see Student, Teacher, and Administrator.
On the What is your primary role? screen, pick the option that fits you best. The list depends on what you chose on the previous screen.
If you chose Teacher: Classroom Teacher, Intervention / Special Education, Co-teacher, Department Head, Principal / Assistant Principal, or Other.
If you chose Administrator: Teacher / Faculty, Department Head (School or District), District Coordinator / Superintendent, School Administrator, Curriculum & Instruction, Technology (Instructional Tech/IT), Purchasing and Operations, or Other.
Your Wayground account is created and you're signed in.
Set up your preferences
The first time you sign in, Wayground asks two questions to personalize your home page.
On the Select your subjects and grades screen, click the subjects you work with and the grades you teach, then click Continue.
On the Hi [Name], have you used Wayground before? screen, choose Never, A few times, or Many times.
You're now on your Wayground home page, ready to create, search, or upload your first activity.
