Add a touch of whimsy to your game with memes. These are funny images that sometimes appear after a question is answered.

A set of such images on Wayground is called a meme set. You can either pick one of the existing meme sets or create one of your own.

Once your custom meme sets are added, your students will get to see those memes instead of the default options that are available on Wayground.

To create a meme set, follow these steps:

  1. Click on your profile icon located in the top-right corner of your screen
  2. Select 'Memes'
  3. Click on 'Create a new meme set,' give it a name, select its language, and customize its visibility
  4. Navigate through 'Correct memes' and 'Incorrect memes,' then upload at least 10 of each to create a solid set
  5. Click on 'Done' to save your meme set

Once you're done creating your meme set, you're all set to use it in a Wayground game!

To use a meme set in your session, follow these steps:

  1. Select your Wayground resource
  2. Click on 'Assign' or 'Start now' for live and asynchronous sessions respectively
  3. In the session settings page, go to the 'Gamification' section
  4. Click on 'Show memes'
  5. You can now pick from any of your created meme sets by scrolling left to right

Note: The 'Show memes' setting is only available for sessions with an Assessment/Quiz, Interactive Video, or Passages when run in Classic mode for live sessions (Start now) or in asynchronous mode (Assign).
